You will create a skeletal outline for your informative speech presentation
Write your responses in an outline format with roman numerals representing main headings, letters representing main points, and numbers representing subpoints (See Sample Outline format 1 on page 416 (Links to an external site.) in our text)
- Your responses MUST be in complete sentences with proper punctuation marks
- Refer to the sample outline Format 1 on Page 416 (Links to an external site.) in our text
- At the top of your document, write your speech topic
- On the second line, based on Chapter 4, page 63 (Links to an external site.), provide the general purpose of your speech
- On the third line, provide the Specific purpose of your speech (See Chapter 4, page 64 (Links to an external site.))
- The first main heading is the Introduction (as seen on page 416 (Links to an external site.) in our text)
- List the ABCs of an introduction (each A. B. and C. is the main point)
- Main heading two is the Body (as seen on page 416 (Links to an external site.) in our text)
- Under the body, provide main point 1 of your speech and main point 2 of your speech (***Please note – 2 MAIN POINTS in the body)
- Main heading three is the Conclusion
- Provide a T.R.U. conclusion as the main point
