For this weekly check-in, answer #3 from “Ethical Dilemmas,” p. 179:
Your father has stolen $30,000 from his employer to pay for surgery that his sister desperately needs. Without the surgery, she will be dead within six months. Only you know about his crime. You also know that no one will ever know who stole the money unless you report the theft to the authorities. Should you turn your father in to the police? Should you keep quiet about the matter? What would a virtuous person do?
