For this assessment, you will analyze in-depth, multifaceted, and complex clinical issues via a case study. The purpose is to help you recognize and understand clinical needs, gaps, and barriers while considering the most appropriate theory or approach to use with the client.

Read the “Ana Case Study” for successful completion of this assignment.

Select one of the following theories that you feel best applies to treating the client in the case study:

• Person-Centered

• Existential

• Gestalt

Write a 750-1,000-word analysis of the case study using one of the three theories listed above. Include the following in your analysis.

• Treatment plan goals that align with the selected theory.

• Intervention strategies that are used to accomplish the treatment plan goals.

• Analyze the counselor’s role with this client in your chosen theory.

• Identify social and cultural (race, ethnicity, spirituality, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, etc.) needs of a client that the selected theory may or may not align well with.

• Utilize at least three scholarly references outside of the course textbook.
