Due: Sunday, 11:59 p.m. EST of Unit 4.

Points: 100

Overview:

In this assignment, you will explore the benefit of user stories in the product backlog and
how the velocity metric is used within the project. Writing good user stories for the
product backlog is a fundamental skill. The key method in Scrum of entering
requirement like statements in the form of User Stories and estimating the size of user
stories, the size of tasks, and the velocity of sprints provides development artifacts to
facilitate planning and discussion.

Instructions:

• Explain the impact of User Stories.
o How are good user stories written?
o What does a good user story look like?
o How is the effectiveness of a user story measured?

• How does velocity add value in managing team performance and project
outcomes?

Assignment Guidelines:

• Three pages in length, excluding the Title and Reference page.

• APA format, including in-text citations for referenced works.

• At least two resources.

Be sure to read the criteria, by which your paper will be evaluated, before you
write, and again after you write.
