Assignment:

Write a commentary of 1750 – words on the group dynamics of a class you have taught. This may take the form of a retrospective analysis of a class that has ended or a diary of observations on an ongoing class.

Part 1: Group Phenomena

Comment on various group phenomena such as participation, group roles, the cohesiveness of the group, group development, group conflict, emerging norms, etc. Using our readings from this course and outside resources, explain what research says about these phenomena.

Part 2: Proactive Plan

Discuss what university leadership, faculty, and students can do to improve each of the group phenomena discussed in Part 1. Be specific and practical in your plan and focus on what each group could do individually and jointly.

Be sure to completely answer all the prompts for each bullet point. Separate each section in your paper with a clear heading that allows your professor to know which bullet you are addressing in that section of your paper. Support your ideas with at least three (3) citations from the text in your essay. Make sure to reference the citations using the APA writing style for the essay. The cover page and reference page do not count towards the minimum word amount.
