Assignment: Read the lessons for this week. Write a short paper discussing the different types of contingencies and contract planning. For this paper, you will need to find an article in the library that relates to this week's learning objective or topics discussed during the week and then summarize and discuss the article as well as describe based on what you have learned. These are listed in FAR part 18 and the DCCH readings.

Week 7: Term Project Paper Complete your final research topic paper. This outline must follow the preceding format as far as section headings. This final paper should be between 8 to 10 pages for the content, not counting the title page or the reference page. You should have no less than five peer-reviewed references to support this research paper.

Instructions:

This week your Research Paper is due. As outlined in Week 3, select a topic that relates to Contract Management with a focus on Joint Contingency Contracting if you like or any topic from the learning objectives found in the lessons and syllabus. You can research an existing program, or you can write about the contract management process or any topic that relates to any of the Learning Objectives of the course.

1. Explain contingency contracting authorities and structure.

2. Explain the command and contracting lines of authority.

3. Explain the contingency contracting officer's authority and command flow of that authority.

4. Explain the conditions of when contracting authority can change.

5. Explain the head of contracting activity (HCA) responsibilities.

6. Explain the senior contracting official (SCO) responsibilities.

7. Explain the contingency contract officer (CCO) and contracting officer representative (COR) responsibilities.

8. Explain the Joint Theater Support Contracting Command (JTSCC).

The Research paper must have at least five sections (with an asterisk):
